A big thank you to Riverain for hosting our freindly. Also a worthy mention to the ladies and gentlemen that put on some lovely cream teas. The scones with jam were delightful even if Jim did manage to spill half of it down his trousers!! Obviously Eileen needed some washing to do! Hertford played very well and we won overall 71-49. At half time it was 29-33 so it looks as if Riverain fed us too well! the full results as follows:

A Penfold, K Orchard & M Whitehead won 21-7

B Millington, J Smith & G Medcalf won 20-17

T Nolan, E Smith & V Wolfe lost 11-14

D Bunyan, J Peacock & K Hammond won 19-11

It was good to see Ted back and I hope his knee is not suffering too much and i hope to see all our other members back soon fit and healthy. Please have a look at the photos. Lastly as i mentioned previously i am doing a shot of the day. Today's goes to Muriel Whitehead who played a fantastic running bowl to displace the opponents shot bowl to end up as shot wood. Who said wicks are lucky!! that's why bowls are there to be played against!
